- Secured Access Building – All visitors to the school are routed to the receptionist desk
- Background checks on staff and volunteers – We conduct criminal background checks on all staff and volunteers to screen for safety
- Closed Circuit Video Security – With 16 video cameras, the premises are monitored to make sure your child’s school is safe
- Safety Manual & Training – At the Academy, staff develop, monitor, and refine our comprehensive safety plans to prepare for unexpected situations.
Winter Weather Precautions:
In the event of severe winter weather, Academy of Excellence will generally follow MPS closings. These closings will be communicated via phone (if morning cancellation), online, Twitter/Facebook, and Milwaukee TV (FOX 6, WISN 12, CBS 58).
